As a Production Manager, you are often the behind-the-scenes force driving the organization. You ensure that the production process runs smoothly by overseeing the selection and purchasing of necessary materials. You are responsible for enabling production workers to perform their tasks without hindrance, ensuring equipment is functioning correctly, and adhering to health and safety protocols. Additionally, you will create production schedules to manage projects effectively within the factory.

To excel as a Production Manager, you must be able to multitask and oversee several operations simultaneously. A good Production Manager possesses excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a detailed production schedule, planning projects and personnel on the work floor

  • Training new employees

  • Providing overall support during the production process

  • Optimizing the operational processes

  • Scheduling regular maintenance for equipment

  • Maintaining contact with various suppliers to ensure timely delivery

  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols

Assisting with various tasks within the organization as needed

Requirements:

  •   A degree in business management is advantageous
  • Industry-related experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to set priorities and bring structure to a dynamic operational process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An open and positive communication style with the ability to motivate others  
  •  Ability to handle service calls
  • Able to discuss warranty repairs
  •  Work with OEM equipment installers and calibration team members
  • Review parts in stock by job 
  • Quick and efficient problem-solving skills
