Job Title: RV Certified Master Technician

Position Summary:
The RV Certified Master Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all types of recreational vehicles (motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, etc.) to the highest standards. As a certified master technician, this individual possesses advanced knowledge across all RV systems and demonstrates leadership, mentorship, and consistent quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Diagnostics:
- Perform multi-point inspections on RVs and accurately diagnose issues across all systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, chassis, slide-outs, awnings, etc.).
- Use diagnostic tools and manufacturer guidelines to assess complex mechanical and technical problems.
- Repairs & Maintenance:
- Complete service repairs including electrical, LP gas systems, plumbing, roofs, brakes, appliances, leveling systems, and generator work.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with RVIA, manufacturer standards, and safety protocols.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Complete repair orders with detailed descriptions of work performed and parts used.
- Communicate repair status and technical issues to service advisors and management.
- Customer Service:
- Occasionally interact with customers to explain repairs and maintenance recommendations in a clear, professional manner.
- Leadership & Training:
- Serve as a technical expert and mentor to junior technicians.
- Assist with training and development of apprentice or journeyman technicians.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Follow company and OSHA safety rules and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- RVIA/RVDA Certified Master Technician (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RV technician, with a proven track record of high-level diagnostics and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of RV systems (12V/110V electrical, propane, plumbing, HVAC, chassis, hydraulics).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- ASE certifications or other related mechanical certifications
- Experience with dealer management systems (DMS) and digital repair order platforms
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday (weekends as needed during peak seasons)
