Job Summary: The RV Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all types of recreational vehicles (RVs), including motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, and pop-up campers. This role requires a broad range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills to ensure RVs are safe, functional, and comfortable for customers. The RV Technician will work closely with customers to understand their concerns, provide accurate estimates, and deliver high-quality repairs and service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with RV systems, including but not limited to:
  • Electrical: 12V DC and 120V AC systems, converters, inverters, batteries, generators, solar panels, and lighting.
  • Plumbing: Freshwater, wastewater, and sewage systems, water heaters, pumps, toilets, and faucets.
  • HVAC: Air conditioners, furnaces, and ventilation systems.
  • Propane: LP gas systems, appliances (refrigerators, stoves, ovens, water heaters), and detectors.
  • Appliances: Refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, stoves, and entertainment systems.
  • Structural: Roofs, walls, floors, slide-outs, awnings, and exterior components.
  • Mechanical: Axles, brakes, suspension, hitches, and leveling systems (for towable RVs).
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative care on RVs.
• Repair or replace defective components and parts.
• Install accessories and upgrades (e.g., satellite dishes, solar panels, backup cameras).
• Document all work performed, including parts used and labor time, accurately and thoroughly.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status, estimated costs, and recommended services.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and RV repair techniques.
