JOB DESCRIPTION:

A CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programmer is responsible for programming and operating CMMs, which are used in manufacturing and quality control processes to measure the physical geometrical characteristics of an object.

   

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY/ SCOPE:

·        Programs CMM according to requirements.

·        Set up measuring concepts together with clients.

·        Measures products according to given CMM programs and processes.

·        Conduct program changes on the requirement.

·        Conduct repeatability studies as required.

·        Ensures calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

·        Trains staff using measuring equipment

 

MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES:

·        Can program CMM machines.

·        Familiar with Plex software.

·        Familiar with PC-DMIS software

·        Provides expert input for project management

·        Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

·        How to Operate the Atos Scanbox Grome

·        Blue Print Reading & Training on Measuring Techniques.

·        Must be willing to work any shift (current openings 2nd & 3rd)

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and  

    experience.

 

Years of work experience

3-5 years of relevant working experience.

 

Physical Demands

 

·         Must be able to lift 15 – 20 pounds occasionally.

·         Must have flexibility to shift start and end times if needed.

·         Must able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
