Position Overview
The RV Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining recreational vehicles, including motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels. This role involves a variety of tasks ranging from electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair to structural and cosmetic work. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and technical skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys problem-solving in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair issues in RV systems, including:

Electrical (12V and 120V systems)
-
Plumbing and water systems
-
LP gas systems
-
HVAC units
-
Appliances and slide-outs
-

Perform chassis and coach inspections and preventative maintenance.

Install accessories and upgrades such as solar systems, awnings, towing equipment, and more.

Conduct roof and sealant repairs to prevent water leaks.

Test and ensure proper operation of all repaired components.

Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair needs, progress, and outcomes.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
-
RV Technician, mechanic, or similar trade (or willingness to train for entry-level candidates).

Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, diagrams, and technical bulletins.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred:
-
RVIA/RVDA certification or equivalent technical training.

Experience with computer-based diagnostic tools.

Familiarity with both motorized and towable RV units.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders as needed for repairs.
