About Star 5 Service LLC
Located in Kalispell at 125 Industrial Ct, Star 5 Service LLC provides honest, high-quality repair and maintenance for RV owners across the Flathead Valley and Glacier Park corridor, alongside our heavy-duty commercial truck & trailer division. Whether a local family is getting their fifth wheel ready for the season or a traveler in a Class A motorhome has an urgent breakdown, we take pride in fixing it right the first time.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented RV Service Technician who genuinely enjoys troubleshooting and repairing travel trailers, fifth wheel campers, and Class A motorhomes. We welcome both career techs looking for a full-time home and seasoned, semi-retired technicians who love the craft and want a respectful, low-drama shop environment.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, service, and repair systems across travel trailers, fifth wheels, and Class A motorhomes in our Kalispell shop and on occasional local mobile calls.
- Troubleshoot and repair 12V DC and 120V AC electrical systems, inverters, converters, batteries, and solar setups.
- Service and repair RV appliances: furnaces, water heaters (tank & tankless), refrigerators, A/C units, and ranges.
- Handle plumbing, LP/propane systems, water pumps, holding tanks, and seasonal winterization/de-winterization.
- Repair slide-outs, leveling jacks, awnings, roof membranes/seals, running gear, bearings, and electric/hydraulic trailer brakes.
- Use Jobber on your phone or tablet to check work orders, write clear repair notes, upload photos of findings, and log parts used.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on RV repair experience (or strong cross-over background in marine, residential HVAC/plumbing/electrical, or coach repair). RVTI / RVIA certifications are a plus, but proven hands-on skill matters most.
- Strong diagnostic mindset—someone who takes pride in clean wiring, leak-free plumbing, and dependable repairs.
- Own basic hand tools and diagnostic meter (shop equipment and specialty tools provided).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Comfortable using a mobile workflow app (Jobber) to track jobs and photos cleanly.
Pay & Perks
- Competitive Pay: $25.00 – $38.00/hr based on experience.
- Flexible Scheduling: Open to full-time year-round or flexible hours for the right experienced tech.
- Zero Dealership Drama: Work directly with an owner and shop foreman who value craftsmanship and straightforward communication.
